Tales of Uplift and Moral Improvement is a Channel X comedy series produced for the BBC and broadcast in 2001 on BBC Choice.[1][2] The series starred Rik Mayall as Ffine Carmody,[3][4][5] and also featured Felicity Wren,[6] Lucinda Raikes and Thomas Wansey. It was written and created by Alex Kirk[7] and Simon Messingham (who both also acted in various roles),[8][9][10] and directed by Bob Baldwin (who also directed Grim Tales, also starring Mayall).[11] The show's music was written by Julian Maurice Moore.[12] One series consisting of thirteen quarter-hour episodes was produced.[13]
