The Primrose Railway Children (2024 film) is a adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson's[1] children's book of the same name, which itself is a modernized retelling of Edith Nesbit's classic The Railway Children.[2] Made for BBC by BBC Studios Kids & Family, in association with the free family-friendly streaming service BYUtv, the film follows the lives of the Robinson family after dad Rob Robinson (Kevin McKidd)[3] mysteriously disappears.
10-year-old Phoebe (Ava McCarthy)[3], along with her brother, Perry (Tylan Bailey), and older sister, Becks (Ida Brooke), must put together the clues surrounding his disappearance, all while trying to survive in the small Scottish village their mom Sarah (Nina Toussaint-White) has moved them to.
But Mom is hiding a secret of her own. And when push comes to shove, this family must learn what it means to hold on to each other to get through the hard times.
