Dyson Limited, trading as Dyson, is a Singaporean[7][8][9] multinational technology company. Founded in 1991 by James Dyson in Malmesbury, England, the company designs and manufactures household appliances such as vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, hand dryers, bladeless fans, heaters, hair dryers, and lights. As of 2022, Dyson has more than 14,000 employees worldwide.[10]
In 2019, Dyson moved company HQ from the United Kingdom to Singapore to be closer to its manufacturing and supply-chain hubs and Asian customer base.[11][12] In March 2022, Dyson announced plans to invest S$1.5 billion (approximately $1.1 billion) in Singapore over the next four years. This investment is part of a broader S$4.9 billion global strategy unveiled in 2020, which allocates funds among Dyson’s global headquarters in Singapore, its two campuses in Wiltshire and operations in the Philippines.[13]
