Epoxomicin is a naturally occurring selective proteasome inhibitor with anti-inflammatory activity.[2] It was originally discovered in 1992.[3] Injected, it can induce Parkinson's-like symptoms in rats.
Derivatives of epoxomicin include carfilzomib.
