Ernie Sims III (born December 23, 1984) is an American college football coach and former professional player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He is a defensive analyst for Florida State University, a position he has held since 2024. He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles and was selected by the Detroit Lions in the first round of the 2006 NFL draft. He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys.
