Evere (French: [evɛʁ]; Dutch: [ˈeːvərə] ^ⓘ) is one of the 19 municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region (Belgium). As of 1 January 2022^[update], the municipality had a population of 43,608 inhabitants.^[2] The total area is 5.08 km² (1.96 sq mi), which gives a population density of 8,503/km² (22,020/sq mi).^[2] In common with all of Brussels' municipalities, it is legally bilingual (French–Dutch).
