Faustin Charles (born 15 September 1944) is a Trinidad-born writer and storyteller, who moved to Britain in the 1960s. He is the author of novels, poetry and short stories, his work featuring in major anthologies of Caribbean writing. He published his first collection of poems in 1969. He is best known more recently for his children's books, particularly The Selfish Crocodile, which has had sales of more than 100,000 copies.[1]
