Firebringer is a comedy musical with music and lyrics by Meredith Stepien and Mark Swiderski and a book by Matt Lang, Nick Lang, and Brian Holden with additional writing by Stepien.[1] It was the tenth staged show produced by StarKid Productions. The story follows characters in the prehistoric era where the invention of fire is studied. The show ran from July 6 to August 7, 2016 at Stage 773 in Chicago, Illinois.[2] A recording of the production was uploaded to YouTube on December 31, 2016. A cast recording was released on iTunes on November 22, 2016.[3]
The show was funded through Kickstarter, similarly to the company's previous productions. The project raised US$154,670 from its 3,722 backers.[4]
