Eriq Henry Timmons,[3][4] professionally known as Freak Nasty, is an American hip hop recording artist[1][2] and record producer from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was raised in New Orleans.[1] He is best known for his Top 40[1] single "Da' Dip" released in 1996[2] which was a sleeper hit,[2] and ultimately went mainstream in the summer of 1997;[2] it later peaked number 15[5] on the Hot 100. Later he released "Do What U Feel"[5] from the album Which Way Is Up,[5] but it failed to reach the success of the previous song, making it to 87 on the Hot R&B charts.[5]
