Fred Eychaner (born 1944)[1] is an American businessman and philanthropist.[2][3]

Eychaner is the chairman of Newsweb Corporation.[4][5] He was included in Chicago magazine's 2014 list of the 100 most powerful Chicagoans.[6] In 2005, the Chicago Tribune estimated his wealth at $500 million.[2] In 2015, he was inducted into the Chicago LGBT Hall of Fame.[7]

Eychaner is a major donor to Democratic campaigns, gay rights advocacy groups, and arts organizations.[8]

Eychaner is openly gay[2] and is married to Danny Leung.[9]
