Friedrich Julius von Hassel (11 October 1833 – 14 October 1890) was a Lieutenant general in the Prussian army.[1] He spent most of his life as Friedrich Julius Hassel, but was raised to the Nobility by the emperor in 1887.[2] His grandson, Kai-Uwe von Hassel, served as the West German Minister of Defence between 1963 and 1966.[3]
