Gareth Jon Batty (born 13 October 1977)[1] is an English former cricketer who is best known as a spin-bowler. He has represented England in all formats and was the captain of Surrey County Cricket Club between 2015 and 2017.[2] In October 2021, Batty retired from playing cricket and became a member of the coaching team at Surrey.[3] He is the younger brother of former Yorkshire and Somerset off-spinner Jeremy Batty.
