Gibbsboro is a borough in Camden County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 2,189,[9] a decrease of 85 (−3.7%) from the 2010 census count of 2,274,[18][19] which in turn reflected a decline of 161 (−6.6%) from the 2,435 counted in the 2000 census.[20]

Gibbsboro was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 8, 1924, from portions of Voorhees Township, subject to approval by voters in a referendum, which was held on April 11, 1924.[21] The borough was named for the Gibbs family, early settlers from 1706 for whom the area's post office was named when it was established in 1883.[22]
