Good (stylised in all caps) is a South African political party that was formed in December 2018.[2] It is led by its founder Patricia de Lille, current Minister of Tourism and former mayor of Cape Town, who is also the party's sole member in the National Assembly. The party's stronghold is the Western Cape and mainly draws support from the Coloured community.[3][4]
In May 2019, De Lille was the only opposition member appointed to serve in the cabinet of South Africa. She had stated that Good would remain an opposition party.[5]
In June 2024, Good agreed to join the ANC-led government of national unity (GNU).[6] Leader of the Good, Patricia De Lille, continued as tourism minister in the coalition.[7]
