Gynoxys is a genus of South American flowering plants in the family Asteraceae.[2][3] It includes 117 species which range from Venezuela through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia to nortwestern Argentina.[1]
Recent phylogenomic and morphological studies found the species of the former genus Nordenstamia were nested within Gynoxys, and Nordenstamia has now been subsumed into Gynoxys.[4]
