Harry J. Hartley (born 1938) was an American educator and academic administrator who served as the 12th President of the University of Connecticut (1990–1996).[1] Prior to his presidency, Hartley had served twice as UConn's acting president (July 1987; July – December 1990),[2] vice president for finance and administration (1975–1978; 1984–1987),[1] and dean of the UConn School of Education (1972–1975).[3]
