Hector Hall is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Roy Thomas and Jerry Ordway, he made his first appearance in All-Star Squadron #25 (September, 1983). Throughout the character's history, he has adopted several superhero codenames although he is frequently associated with Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Hawkwoman, often depicted as the child of Hawkman and of either women depending on the version.

The character is first portrayed as the hero Silver Scarab, a member of Infinity, Inc. and the son of Carter Hall and the original Hawkgirl, Shiera Sanders Hall While on the team, he formulates a romance with fellow team member Fury but is eventually killed as a result of actions orchestrated by the Hawk family's longstanding enemy, Hath-Set. The character's soul inhabits Garret Sandford's body after his suicide, becoming the second Sandman. He reunites with Lyta and friends but is later returned to the realm of the deceased by the Morpheus. During his time as Sandman, the character and Lyta bore a child named Daniel Hall, conceived in the Dreaming in which Daniel eventually becomes Morpheus's successor as Lord of the Dreaming.

Within a third lifetime, the character is instead introduced as the biological child of Hank Hall (no relation to Carter Hall) and Dawn Granger, the duo more famously known as Hawk and Dove. Born from more darker and unorthodox roots, he is aged into adulthood and becomes the sixth iteration of sorcerous Doctor Fate, succeeding Jared Stevens. While potentially powerful than others before him, the character's central conflict revolves around proving himself worthy of both the mantle and navigating the complex relationship with the Hawkfamily. Eventually, the character is killed off by the Spectre but his spirit alongside Lyta's ascends back to the Dreaming by Daniel, their child in a previous lifetime. A fourth incarnation is firist introduced in the backup of Superboy: The Man of Tomorrow limited series. This incarnation, named Hektor Hol, is reintroduced as the son of Hawkman (Katar Hol) and Hawkwoman (Shayera Hol (née Thal)).

Hector Hall appears in the first season of the Netflix drama series The Sandman (2022), portrayed by Lloyd Everitt. This version takes inspiration from his histories concerning his lifetime as the Silver Scarab and Sandman.
