The 2019 Hell in a Cell was the 11th annual Hell in a Cell professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by WWE. It was held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event took place on October 6, 2019, at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
Nine matches were contested at the event, including one on the Kickoff pre-show. Two Hell in a Cell matches were contested at the event, both of which were for the Raw brand. The main event, which was a Universal Championship Hell in a Cell match between defending champion Seth Rollins and "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt, ended by referee stoppage. In the other Hell in a Cell match, which was the opening bout, Becky Lynch defeated Sasha Banks to retain the Raw Women's Championship. In other prominent matches, Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns defeated Erick Rowan and Luke Harper in a tornado tag team match, and Charlotte Flair defeated Bayley to win the SmackDown Women's Championship for a record fifth time, and her record tenth championship overall on WWE's main roster.
The event was met with a mixed-to-negative reception from both critics and fans. Although the first two opening matches were generally praised, the main event was universally panned due to its conclusion.
