The Hetaireia (‹See Tfd›Greek: Ἑταιρεία, translit. Hetaireía, Byzantine Greek pronunciation: [(h)e.teˈri.a], Latinized as hetaeria) was a term for a corps of bodyguards during the Byzantine Empire.
