Hina Khan (born 2 October 1987)[1] is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Hindi films and television. One of the highest-paid television actresses in India,[2][3] Khan is widely recognised for portraying Akshara Maheshwari Singhania in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She is a recipient of several accolades including three ITA Awards, three Indian Telly Awards and seven Gold Awards.[4]
Post her work in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Khan emerged as the runner-up in the reality shows Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8[citation needed] and Bigg Boss 11.[5] She then played the negative character of Komolika Chaubey in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2.[6]
