Hungarian State Railways (Hungarian: Magyar Államvasutak, formally MÁV Magyar Államvasutak Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság (MÁV Zrt.). The full official name of the company is MÁV-VOLÁN-csoport (lit.'"MÁV-VOLÁN Group"') now commonly known as MÁV) is the Hungarian national railway company and the MÁV Zrt. is the railway infrastructure manager, with subsidiaries "MÁV-START Zrt." (passenger services), and "Utasellátó" (onboard catering, Utasellátó is an independent directorate of MÁV-START Zrt.).[1]

The head office is in Budapest.[2]
