James Ian Mearns[3] (born 21 April 1957) is a British Labour Party politician. He served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Gateshead from 2010 to 2024.[4][5] He was a member of and latterly Chair of the Socialist Campaign Group parliamentary caucus.[not verified in body]
