Igor Yakovlevich Krutoy (Russian: Игорь Яковлевич Крутой) or Ihor Yakovych Krutyi born on July 29, 1954), is a Ukrainian-Russian music composer, performer, producer and musical promoter.[1]
Krutoy was awarded the title "Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation",[2] People's Artist of Russia[2] and People's Artist of Ukraine.[3] Winner of ZD Awards,[4] and Ovation Award.[5]
As a composer, he has collaborated with numerous renowned singers in classical and pop music, such as Anna Netrebko, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Aida Garifullina, Andrea Bocelli, Sumi Jo, Alla Pugacheva, Lara Fabian, Dimash Qudaibergen, Valery Leontyev, Ani Lorak, Sergey Lazarev, Irina Allegrova, Mikhail Shufutinsky and others.[6][7]
Since 2002, together with Raymonds Pauls, he organized the New Wave competition for young performers.[8]
