The interim government system of Bangladesh was established following the 1990 Mass Uprising in Bangladesh after HM Ershad Resignation, that government was led by the Shahabuddin Ahmed and non-cooperation movement that arose in response to the July Revolution, after the resignation of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina. The incumbent interim government is the Yunus ministry, led by the Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus.
