Inverness Highlands South is a census-designated place (CDP) in Citrus County, Florida, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 6,698, up from 6,542 at the 2010 census.[3] It is part of the Homosassa Springs, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area.
