Iowa Lakes Community College is a public community college based in Estherville, Iowa, with campuses also located in Algona, Emmetsburg, Spencer and Spirit Lake.[2] It serves Iowa Community College District III, which encompasses an area roughly contiguous with Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Kossuth and Palo Alto counties.[3] The predominantly rural district encompasses and area of approximately 2,900 square miles (7,500 square kilometers) and a population of just over 73,000.
