James Leonard McIntire (April 9, 1953 – August 16, 2024) was an American economist and politician who served as the 22nd Washington State Treasurer from 2008 to 2017.[1] A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as a member of the Washington State House of Representatives, representing the 46th district from 1998 to 2009. McIntire died on August 16, 2024, at the age of 71.[2]
