Gerald Peter Buchek (boo-check; May 9, 1942 – January 2, 2019) was an American middle infielder and third baseman who played all or parts of seven seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Mets. Buchek threw and batted right-handed, stood 5 feet 11 inches (1.80 m) tall and weighed 185 pounds (84 kg).
