Jhangvi (/ˈæŋvi/; جھنگوی; Standard: [ˈt͡ʃàŋ.gᵊ.ʋi]; Jhangvi: [ˈd͡ʒàŋ.gᵊ.ʋi]), also known as Jhangli (جھنگلی), Jāngli (جانگلی), Jhangochi (جھنگوچی) or Rachnāvi (رچناوی), is a dialect of the Punjabi language, that is spoken in central regions of Punjab, Pakistan. Its name is derived from Jhang, its main city.[1] It is spoken throughout a widespread area, starting from Khanewal to Jhang District at either end of Ravi and Chenab.[2] It is also spoken in Chinot, Okara, Sahiwal, Toba Tek Singh, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Pakpattan, Bahawalnagar and Faislabad.

It is intermediate between Multani and Standard Punjabi.[3] The similar Shahpuri dialect is spoken in Sargodha and Mandi Bahauddin, while Dhanni is spoken in Chakwal, Talagang and Khushab.
