James Thomson Greenwood (2 December 1928 – 13 September 2010)[1] was a Scottish rugby union player and coach. He won twenty caps for Scotland[1] and four for the British Lions as a number eight and flanker.[2]
As a coach and coach educator, he was an advocate of 'total rugby'. He is considered one of the most innovative and visionary thinkers in the game. In 2014 he was posthumously inducted into the IRB Hall of Fame.[3]
