John Leask Lumley (4 November 1930 – 30 May 2015) was an American fluid dynamicist and a professor at Cornell University.[1][2] He is widely known for his research in turbulence[3] and is the coauthor of A First Course in Turbulence along with Hendrik Tennekes.[1]
