Johnstown is a town located in Fulton County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the town had a population of 7,098.[1] The name of the town is from landowner William Johnson. The town of Johnstown is located on the southern border of the county. It borders on three sides the city of Johnstown and the city of Gloversville.
