Julia A. Wood (after marriage, Kauffman; February 10, 1840 – March 29, 1927) was an American writer and composer, known for her musical and literary talents.[1] In addition to publishing a travel book with autobiography and some compositions, she wrote for her church's papers: The Pilgrim, Primitive Christian, Progressive Christian, the Brethren At Work and Gospel Preacher. Being the oldest daughter of fourteen children, she spent several years as their teacher. In 1891, Wood's husband died suddenly, a few days after their wedding and she never remarried. Wood died in 1927.
