King Zhuangxiang of Qin (281– 6 July 247 BCE[2]), personal name Ying Yiren, Ying Ziyi or Ying Zichu, was a king of the Qin state.[3] He was the father and predecessor of Qin Shi Huang, who would later unify China proper and become China's first emperor. He was posthumously honored as Taishang Huang by the Qin dynasty.
^(Volume 05 of Records of the Grand Historian indicated that King Xiaowen died on the 3rd day after his coronation, on the xinchou day of the 10th month of the 1st year of his reign. ^Volume 05 of Records of the Grand Historian indicated that King Zhuangxiang died on the bingwu day of the 5th month of the 4th year of his reign. Using the Zhuanxu calendar, the date corresponds to 6 Jul 247 BCE on the proleptic Julian calendar. ([四年]...。五月丙午,庄襄王卒...)
