Korsakovsky District (Russian: Корса́ковский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Oryol Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 690.9 square kilometers (266.8 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Korsakovo.[1] Population: 4,798 (2010 Census);[2] 5,586 (2002 Census).[5] The population of Korsakovo accounts for 30.3% of the district's total population.[2]
