Krasnooktyabrsky District (Russian: Краснооктя́брьский райо́н; Tatar: Кызыл Октябрь районы, romanized: Qızıl Oktəber rayonı) is an administrative district (raion), one of the forty in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia.[1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Krasnooktyabrsky Municipal District.[3] It is located in the southeast of the oblast.

The area of the district is 886.2 square kilometers (342.2 sq mi).[1] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Urazovka.[1] Population: 11,729 (2010 Census);[2] 13,496 (2002 Census);[5] 16,662 (1989 Soviet census).[6]

The population of Urazovka accounts for 13.9% of the district's total population.[2]
