Kumaoni Rajput (Kumaoni:कुमाउनी राजपूत, Sanskrit:राजपुत्र), also referred to as Thakur, Rajput or Kshetri is a caste of Kshatriya Rajputs who held considerable power in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, from around the 4th century till the conquest of Kumaon by the Gorkha.[3]
