LaQuandra S. Nesbitt

LaQuandra S. Nesbitt is an American family physician who is the former Washington, D.C. Department of Health Director She was appointed by Mayor Muriel Bowser in 2015. Prior to her tenure in DC, Nesbitt was Director of the Louisville Metro Department of Public health and Wellness.[1] In November 2022, Nesbitt was appointed executive director of the Center for Population Health Sciences and Health Equity at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences.[2] She will also be a senior associate dean and professor of medicine. She will also be the inaugural Bicentennial Endowed Professor of Medicine and Health Sciences.[3] She stepped down from the DC Health Department in July 2022.[2]
