Lloyd Newton Morrisett Jr. (November 2, 1929 – January 15, 2023) was an American experimental psychologist with a career in education, communications, and philanthropy. He was one of the founders of the Children's Television Workshop (now known as Sesame Workshop), the organization that created the children's television show Sesame Street, which Morrisett created with Joan Ganz Cooney from its debut on November 10, 1969, until his death from natural causes on January 15, 2023 at his San Diego home, at age 93.
