Lochagos (Greek: Λοχαγός; abbreviated Λγος) is used in the Greek language to mean "Captain". More precisely, it means "leader of a lochos". The equivalent term in the Hellenic Army Armour & Cavalry is ιλάρχος, ilarchos, 'leader of an ilē (cavalry troop)'.
