Loleta Dawson Fyan (May 14, 1894 – March 15, 1990) was the first professional librarian for the State of Michigan (1941 to 1961).[1] Long before the invention of the creation of the Internet, she believed that information should be available to all. She was instrumental in the passing of federal support for libraries.[2]
