Abba Lot was an Egyptian Orthodox Christian monk and saint who lived around the 4th and 5th centuries in a monastery[1] near Arsinoe (Al-Fayoum), lower Egypt, by a marshy lake.[2] Abba Lot "...directed many brethren on the path to salvation."[1] He was one of the Desert Fathers.[2]
Abba Lot died peacefully[1] in the fifth century.[2][1] His feast day is October 22 in the Orthodox Church.[3][1]
