Macquarie Group Limited (/məˈkwɔːri/) is an Australian multinational investment banking and financial services group headquartered in Sydney and listed in Australia on the ASX (ASXMQG). Macquarie's investment banking division is Australia's top-ranked mergers and acquisitions adviser[4] with more than A$871 billion in assets under management [3] and is the world's largest infrastructure asset manager.[5][6]

The group's logo is a stylised version of the holey dollar, Australia's first coinage which was designed by Governor Macquarie.[7] The rise of the bank into the global financial giant it is today has been documented in the book The Millionaires' Factory by journalist Joyce Moullakis and Chris Wright.[8][9]

The company employs more than 20,000 staff[10] across four operating groups in 34 markets.[11] In the financial year ending 31 March 2021, Macquarie reported a record net profit A$3.015 billion and a final dividend per ordinary share of A$4.70 per share.[12]
