Mangana (Constantinople)

Mangana (Greek: Μάγγανα) was one of the quarters of Byzantine-era Constantinople. Located on the easternmost edge of the Sirkeci peninsula, it housed an imperial palace, arsenal and several churches and charitable establishments throughout the middle and late Byzantine periods.
