Mary R. Denman

Mary R. Denman (August 13/31, 1823 – November 23/27, 1899) was an American temperance activist and social reform leader. She was one of the organizers and served as the first president of the New Jersey Woman's Christian Temperance Union.[1] She served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Home for the Friendless and was prominent and active in other charities.[2]
