Mary Casillas Salas (born March 17, 1948) is an American politician who served as the 40th mayor of Chula Vista, California from 2014 to 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served as a member of the Chula Vista City Council from 2012 to 2014 and as a member of the California State Assembly from 2006 to 2010, representing the 79th Assembly District. She was an unsuccessful candidate for California's 40th senatorial district in 2010, losing narrowly to fellow Democrat Juan Vargas.
