Matthew Thomas Ritchie (born 10 September 1989) is a professional footballer who plays as a winger or wing-back for Championship club Portsmouth. Ritchie represented the Scotland national team from 2015 to 2018. Prior to joining his first club Portsmouth for a second spell in 2024, he played for Swindon Town, Bournemouth and Newcastle.
Although born and raised in England, Ritchie qualified to play for Scotland through his Scottish father Alex. He made his senior international debut on 25 March 2015, in a friendly match against Northern Ireland.
