Naheed Nenshi served as mayor of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, from 2010 through 2021. He did not seek re-election in 2021 and was succeeded by Jyoti Gondek.
Nenshi was awarded the World Mayor prize in 2014 by the City Mayors Foundation. He became the first Canadian mayor to win this award.[1]
