Merida (IPA: [me'ridɐ]), officially the Municipality of Merida (Cebuano: Lungsod sa Merida; Waray: Bungto han Merida; Tagalog: Bayan ng Merida), is a 5th class municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 31,574 people.[3]
