Canadian biochemist (born 1940)
Michael Norman George James OC FRS FRSC (born 1940)[ 5] (died 2023)[ 6] was Emeritus Distinguished Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Alberta .[ 8] [ 9] He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS) in 1989 for "substantial contributions to the improvement of natural knowledge".[ 10] He was appointed to the Order of Canada in June 2023, with the rank of Officer. He lived in Edmonton .[ 11]
